Helps you to guide intervention and improve relationships -Based in behavioral family systems therapy, the PARQ provides information organized into three domains (Overt Conflict/Skill Deficits, Beliefs, and Family Structure) that can help you determine the best mode of intervention. -Allows you to emphasize problem-solving and communication skills, cognitive restructuring of extreme beliefs and distorted thinking, and/or specific problems in family functioning in subsequent interventions. -Can be used to monitor the effectiveness of individual and family interventions through periodic readministration; as an outcome measure in treatment effectiveness research; and as a process measure in family interaction, adolescent development, and theoretical research. Scales assess global distress and conflict in several areas -Measures global distress and conflict in the realms of communication, problem solving, school, siblings, and eating behavior; various maladaptive beliefs, including autonomy, ruination, unfairness, perfectionism, and malicious intent, are also assessed. -Family structure and functioning items evaluate cohesion, coalitions (side-taking), and triangulation (putting family members in the middle of conflict). -Separate forms for adolescents and parents are written at a 5th-grade reading level and in the first person to elicit current thoughts. Provides an unmatched level of detail -Two validity scales and 12 clinical scales assess the parent-adolescent relationship in detail unmatched by other, similar assessments. -T scores, percentile ranges, and reliable change scores are provided separately for adolescents, mothers, and fathers. -Average profiles are included for ADHD, ODD, anxiety, depression, eating disorder, and spina bifida clinical groups. Scoring program available The PARQ-SP provides you with unlimited scoring and report generation. After demographic information and item responses or scale raw scores are manually entered, the PARQ-SP generates a report that includes raw scores, T scores, percentile ranges, qualitative ranges, item response tables, an inconsistency score summary table, and a profile graph.
