Description: Interactive Reading These books are designed to be used on many levels. Utilizing the power of visual strategies, the children learn to associate pictures with words. The fun, interactive nature of these books is rewarding to children with and without special needs. Included in each book are several activities created for children of varying ability levels. This book teaches the letters of the alphebet and how they sound at the beginning of words. (Ex. The letter D sounds like duh-duh DUCK)The children match, identify, and label the pictures then put them on the appropriate square to match the letter with the same beginning sound. (Ex. The picture of the "apple" will go next to the letter "A".) You can also ask the children questions that they can answer verbally or by pointing to the correct picture. (For example: What do you use when it rains? Answer: umbrella or Show me something that says "quack". Answer: Duck etc.)
