Using a cognitive behavioral approach, Dr. PlayWell's Worry-Less game is designed to help children cope with anxiety and worry. This fun game handles the subject of stress in a relaxed and constructive way, and is designed to help kids learn ways to improve their emotional health. To play, students must capture "worry monsters" as they make their way around the board. As they progress through the game, players will learn various methods to improve their state of mind. This game will introduce 7 skills which are: - Being aware of feelings and physical symptoms - Self-calming - Positive self-talk - Changing negative thinking - Coping with difficult feelings - Making a plan to act - Self-monitoring and self-reinforcement The game contents included are: game board, 100 chips, 7 sets of cards, 6 monsters, 4 pawns, 1 die, and a reproducible Coping with Anxiety assessment form so you can track student's progress. Each set of cards includes 12 cards related to each skill set. This is designed for children ages 6-12 with 2-4 players each game.
